If the university intimates to me that I have got the admission but I have not yet decided to join it.

Can I say: I have secured admission or,
I have got the confirmation of the admission.

After joining the university, can I say: I have secured the admission. Does this term 'securing of admission' applies to all the stages like shortlisting, intimation, actual admission etc.

You could say you have been admitted. I would probably say "I've been offered a place at the University".
