Hi everybody. I would like to know if the follwing expression is right or not, is this presposition right?

... advance on the next topic.

    I mean de first one. The complete sentence would be
    "I do not want to advance??? next topic until students have not understood what we have seen up to now".

    Ah, it makes more sense now.

    Your sentence should read:

    "I do not want to advance to the next topic until students have not understood what we have seen up to now".

    You could also say:

    "I do not want to go on to the next topic until...."
