I have to write the title on a letter on behalf of somebody.

What is the right way to do it?
1) My Advocacy
2) Advocated on his behalf
3) Advocating on my behalf

I will appreciate your comments.

No real idea yet myself, but since you state in your opening that you will be writing [advocating] "on behalf of somebody", you can very likely eliminate your option 3) which is "Advocating on my behalf"

If for somebody else, then not for you.

Letters don't normally have titles in English, so the question is confusing. Can you give us a little more background, please? Are you intending to have the words at the top of the letter like this:

    Advocacy On His Behalf

That is what your question implies.

Yes!! I should have told you that. It's not a real letter. It's the story of a battered person who would like to speak on his behalf. Like this person is writing himself.

Advocacy on My Behalf would be appropriate?

Sorry for the confusion and thanks a lot for your contributions.

Yes, James, it really sounds odd to me too. I have been thinking of "In Self-defense" but your suggestion of "Speaking on My Behalf" sounds terrific.

I will use that. Thank you very much for your time.
