    "Yours affectionately" would be fine as long as you do feel some affection for the person to whom you're writing. The same could be said for "Love and kisses". If you don't love or want to kiss your correspondent, then you'd do better to avoid it. "Bye" and "Write soon" are less personal and would work in many contexts.

    We live in a world of nuances and impending doom based upon real or imagined sexual implications, including harassment.

    Owlman is spot-on.

    As an afterthought, I add that Spanish-speaking cultures seem to be much looser in this respect That's also a potential problem in translation.
