The meaning of "affects unethical behavior" is not clear to me. Affects whose unethical behavior? Does it refer to "affects the unethical behavior of the person who takes part in moral disengagement"?

**************
  1. Machiavellianism. Manipulativeness, callous affect, and strategic-calculating orientation.
  2. Moral Disengagement. A generalized cognitive orientation to the world that differentiates individuals' thinking in a way that powerfully affects unethical behavior.

    Thank you.

    Affects negatively or positively?

That is, does moral disengagement strongly enhance the person's unethical behavior?
