affluence vs wealth

There is a survey called 'Annual Survey of Affluence & Wealth in America'. What is the difference between affluence and wealth ?

I thought they meant the same thing. I've looked in the dictionary, and I'm none the wiser.

My only guess is that in certain financial circles, they have specialty meanings.

I'm going to say wealth refers to the property/item itself, and affluence refers the amount of it.

Wealth(From MW) - all property that has a money value or an exchangeable value b: all material objects that have economic utility; especially : the stock of useful goods having economic value in existence at any one time <national wealth>

Affluence(Also from MW) - abundance of property

The survey should contain a glossary defining its terms.

But generally, in the context of wealth management, you say affluent or mass affluent if refering to individuals with smaller fortunes.
