Hi,
“Henry Ford is known for mass producing the Model T, thus making the average American afford to buy one.”
Is this sentence correct?
Thanks.

It's not quite how a native speaker would say it, because "making" sounds like "forcing" or "ordering."
I would say: "HF is known for mass-producing the Model T, making it affordable for the average American to own one."

    Thank you, bibliolept.
I like your sentence very much.
Please tell me what it stands for?
    Thanks.

"Mass production" refers to the use of "assembly line" methods and the use of standardized parts in order to manufacture goods quickly and less expensively. Through these innovations, the Model T's price was set low enough for a substantial part of the American population to afford one at that point in history.
