This girl I've been seeing wrote that to me and she refuses to tell me what it means. I can't find any other translators that would help. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  • If by this <Ma toora doust daarem>, you mean:

maa turaa doost daareem / daariim
    ما ترا دوست داريم

    Then it means:
    We like/ love you

This is a standard Persian expression used in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and also in Indo-Pak Persian.

    But if you had:

    man turaa doost daaram
    من ترا دوست دارم

    Then it'll be:
    I like / love you

Wow thank you, I had a feeling that's what it was. I've been reading up on Persian languages and I'm really starting to like them. I never really knew much about them until I started seeing this girl.

    Thanks again!

Well, turaa is tu (you, informal = tum in Hindi-Urdu) + raa (the object marker).

For shomaa (you, formal = aap in Hindi-Urdu), it'll be shomaa raa and for man:

    man + raa = maraa
