I'd appreciate it if someone would answer my question about the following 3 sentences. Thanks in advance.

A: Tom came back to his hometown for the first time in 10 years.

B: Tom came back to his hometown 10 years after he left it.

C: Tom came back to his hometown after 10 years.

Are the 3 sentences all the same in meaning? If not what's the difference?

''A' is more specific, more emphatic. Otherwise they are all more or less the same. By the way, I'd use 'returned' or 'went back' instead of came back'.
