    Translating this into latin, do I want to use an ablative or accusative? I know post normally takes an accusative, but is this a special rule? Thanks

    Post is either a preposition or an adverb.

    As an adverb it commonly takes the ablative of measure.

    paucis post diebus = after several days;
    biduo post = after two days;
    non multo post = ere/before long, soon;
