afternoon/evening meal

Hello, all!

I was wondering if there is a word in English to describe the meal one can have in the afternoon and which resembles a brunch in that it consists of coffee, milk, tea, cold cuts, bread, cake and the such.

I don't think iit should be called either dinner or supper, as it does not involve any kind of food associated with those meals and it normally takes place in mid-afternoon.

Thanks in advance

:)

    Hi Frajola,

There isn't any term I can think of that fits in America... except just a snack. There aren't really any regular meals, except breakfast, lunch and dinner (or supper). Brunch exists, but for some reason, there's no linner or lupper! :(

I know! Now how's that for a useful word missing?
