I need to read a text for a class project and i dont really understand the last sentence:

Freud's writing shows that sexual difference is . a hesitant and imperfect construction. Men and women take up positions of symbolic and polarized opposition against the grain of a multifarious and bisexual disposition. . .

does it mean that eventhough Freud distinguishes only two sexual identities there are also a lot of bisexual identities?
translating it to spanish would also help..

No, it says that Freud himself recognizes that sexual disposition is not polarized, but that men and women tend to take polarized positions despite this fact.
