    So I agree about the translation for "Agroquímicos", but is it possible, that in the U.S., for example, "pesticides" is more widely used? Or am I just out of touch with the field of agriculture. Or conversely, that "Agroquímicos" is more commonly used than "pesticidias"? (My Spanish base is Colombia...FYI.)

    Actually it is "pesticidas".
    It is probably true that "pesticides" is more widely used than "agrochemicals" but that is due to the fact that the most widely used agrochemicals happen to be pesticides. The latter is a special case of the former. One may verify that at a specialized source
    Pesticides are agrochemicals that...
    or at the Wikipedia entry for Agrochemical
    In most cases, agrichemical refers to pesticides...

    Agroquímicos es una palabra esdrújula: a-gro-quí-mi-cos. Todas las palabras esdrújulas llevan acento escrito sobre la sílaba tónica.
