Hi, I've just made up the following sentences and am wondering what word(s) should fill the gap in the last sentence.
Would a simple preposition like "in" or "on" work?

There are three car models here.
The first one is ahead of the current trend. Maybe you should wait for one or two years.
The second one is lagging behind the trend. So, don't buy it. You'll regret it.
The third one is ______ the trend. Everyone drives it these days.
