Nada más salir de casa, te llamé.
Al salir de casa te llamé.

How to translate these sentences ? Which thing happened first ?

    Strictly speaking, the first one would be "I called you as soon as I (had) left home" and the second "I called you when/as I left home". So, in the first one, the call could have been seconds later than in the second one, but we don't always think and speak so accurately!
