Is the word 'Daba' used to say 'Now' like it is used in Morocco? I think I have heard another word used in Algeria to express this. Thank you in advance.

No, daba is only used in Morocco. In Algeria we say Dork and its different variants: Dorka, Dokka, Doqqa, Dork, Dok, Darwak, Darwaq...

Darwak is probably the more close to its Arabic origin هذا الوقت , and after multiple alterations hadh alwaqt --> hadarwaq --> adarwaq --> darwaq --> dorwak --> dork/Dork...

P.S: The Egyptian delwa2ti has the same origin, but with a different alteration.
