All credit goes to [someone]

Hi all,

If someone praises a drawing that I posted on Instagram, but it was actually drawn by someone else (say Peter), is it correct for me to say "all credit goes to Peter"? (meaning that I cannot take the credit because I didn't draw it)

Many thanks! :)

Yes, but usually you would state why all credit went to Peter - "All credit goes to Peter - he drew it."

Yes, but usually you would state why all credit went to Peter - "All credit goes to Peter - he drew it."
    The context is this:

    someone: Nice painting!
me: All credit goes to Peter.

In this case, is it clear with just that statement ? :)

You can say that, but it doesn't make it clear that Peter drew it himself as opposed to, for example, inspiring you to draw it.

    someone: Nice painting!
me: All credit goes to Peter. :cross:
me: Thanks! Peter painted it. :tick:

Note: painting and drawing are not the same thing.
