Hello,

I wonder if the following sentence is grammatically correct or not?

"All that happened before any one of them knew there was a product that could cure them of the disease."

Although the verb in the clause has to be past tense, I want to emphasize the produt as a present one. But I learned that if the verb in the main sentence is in the past form, the verb in the clause has to be in the past form as well, unless it is a truth like "the earth revolves around the sun".

Thank you for your help.
