Hello,

Can someone please tell me is the compound nouns corsa di cilismo and partita di sabato are correct

Ci alleniamo per la corsa di ciclismo di questa domenica
We're training for this Sunday morning's cycling race

I calciatori si allenano per la partita di sabato
The soccer players are training for the Saturday match

Also: should I say telaio di carbonio, or telaio in carbonio if a bike frame is made of carbon?

per esempio, Jerry si ha comprato un telaio di carbonio "COLNAGO" pintato a mano
Jerry got himself a hand-painted carbon frame by COLNAGO

Thanks
zippy

Yes, they are correct. You can also say 'per la gara di ciclismo/ciclistica'.
For the question about carbonio you have to open a new thread, you should know it.
