Does the following text mean "Ecology-focused art often crosses boundaries, e.g. environmental art apart from its developmental and conceptual aspects, like environmental science, concerns with the collection of data and information from various ecosystems"?

Context:
Ecology-focused art often crosses boundaries: along with its related development, conceptual art, environmental art often concerns itself, as does environmental science, with the collection of data and information from various ecosystems (Art and Politics by Claudia Mesch).

If your question is whether "along with its related development, conceptual art, environmental art often concerns itself, as does..." can be rephrased as "e.g. environmental art apart from its developmental and conceptual aspects, like...", then the answer is no. Conceptual art is not an "aspect" of environmental art, it is an entire, separate movement -- what the text calls a "related development" (conceptual art was developed separately from, but in a way related to, environmental art). Does that help?

Ecology-focused art often crosses boundaries. For example, environmental art often concerns itself with the collection of data and information from various ecosystems. This is something that environmental science does also. Conceptual art is related to environmental art.
