Alt diastólica grado 1

This is from an echocardiogram report. My attempt: "Grade 1 Diastolic" but I can't translate "alt". I've found that "alt" exists as an abbreviation in Spanish health care terminology, but having to do with things like blood analysis or liver function, but nothing in the area of cardiology. Thanks in advance.

That said, my best guess is "alteración". If you search for alteración diastólica tipo 1 you'll find a lot of articles, although they usually refer to disfunción diastólica tipo I.

If, in context, you think that's what the original referred to, then it would be diastolic dysfunction grade 1.

It's in the results of the echocardiagram in the "Pruebas Complementarias" section of a cardiologist's "informe Clínico de Consulta."

More from that section is as follows: "ECOCARDIO: Aurícula izquierda no dilatada. Aurícula derecha levemente dilatada. Ventrículo izquierdo no dilatado con hipertrofia leve septal con FEVI normal sin alteraciones segmnetarias. Alt diastólica grado 1. IT e IMI triviales. Válvula aórtica trivalva. Cavidades derechas normofuncionantes. No derrame pericárdico. No datos de HTP. Aorta ascendente limite (36 mm), raíz aórtica levemente dilatada(37 mm). ECG: RS a 90 lpm con EV en trigeminismo, PR 0.170 seg, QRS límite con morfología de BRD."

My translation:

"ECHOCARDIOGRAM: Undilated left atrium. Slightly dilated right atrium. Non-dilated left ventricle with mild septal hypertrophy with normal LVEF without segmental abnormalities. Grade 1 diastolic alt. Trivial TR and MR. Trileaflet aortic valve. Normally functioning right cavities. No pericardial effusion. No PH data. Ascending aorta limit (36 mm), slightly dilated aortic root (37 mm). ECG: RS at 90 bpm with EV in trigeminy, PR 0.170 sec, QRS limit with bundle branch block morphology."

I've got most everything translated except the "alt." Oh, and I have doubts about my translation of "límite."

Please see my note in #3. This appears most likely to me to be diastolic dysfunction.

EV in trigeminy

I strongly suspect this is extrasístoles ventriculares, most commonly referred to as PVCs (premature ventricular contractions), although more technically they're premature ventricular depolarizations, but that's a very technical distinction.

If it were me, I'd translate that as PVCs in trigeminy. That should be understood perfectly by anyone who knows anything about ECGs.

No. "Alteración" has to be taken in context but generally refers to an abnormality or lesion. Echocardiography is both functional and structural but since diastolic issues are more likely to be functional, "alteración diastólica" in the functional context would most probably be "dysfunction."

Como ya mencionado por Peter, aquí alt = alteración: dysfunction.

En cuanto al resto, ojo también con RS (ritmo sinusal), además de EV. Y "limit QRS" no suena ajustado; te recomendaría que abrieses hilos específicamente con estas cuestiones.
