Alta (servicios de telefonía) = register / subscribe

    Hola. Estoy editando un texto de altas y bajas en servicios de telefonía (distintos tipos de tarifas, grupois, duos, etc.) y me ha surgido la duda de si usar "Register" o "Subscribe". El caso es que el traductor ha usado "Register" (y todos sus derivados: deregister, registered, deregistered, registration, deregistration,...) pero "Deregister" no me convence y por eso he cambiado todos los "Register" y sus derivados por "Subscribe". La cosa es que ahora dudo de si Subscribe se puede usar a la hora de hablar de "altas y bajas" en este tipo de servicios. ¿Qué opinais?

    Hi. I would use "subscribe" in this context. You can use the derivatives "subscription, unsubscribe, unsubscribed", etc. I was looking at the vocabulary used by services such as Google and Outlook and only found "subscribe", never "register". The difference lies in the meaning of "subscribe" as "pay to use something", whereas registration (as in the case of Wordreference) is usually free of charge.
