A phone that disappears completely would certainly be something to get excited about, but this techology may be more than a few years off. Although, don't be surprised if you see mobile phones shrinking to the size of an earring, or even smaller in the near future!

I wonder whether "Although" is a wrong usage here. In my humble opinion, it should be "though." Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

    Without changing anything else in the sentence, I would think "however" would be a better choice than either of those.
