    The expression seems obsolete around here. It seems to be one of those things that everybody's heard, but nobody uses.

    As a side note, I don't think "kinda" is the "proper English" mentioned in the poster's profile.

    I'm struggling to understand whether that's a snide comment about the use of a colloquial spelling, or if you're pointing out that it's an Americanism.
    I'll assume the latter...
