Context: "Before the advent of the internet it cost $100 to make an equity market order. Afterwards it cost just $15, an 85% fall in price, far more than could ever have been gleaned from traditional economies of scale" Is equity a financial term here? Does it mean the values of a company shares? I have found in WR "marché du capital d'investissement" but that does not really help me to understand...
