If I am a newcomer of a company and would like to write all co-workers a letter to introduce myself, can I write the opening in this way?

    Dear all,

My name is ray and is the new Sales Executive of Marketing Dept.................Or

I am Ray and is the new Sales Executive of Marketing Dept.

Is the latter one not natural in the eyes of native??

"My name is Ray" would be much more natural-sounding.

I would say, given the business setting, that "my name is" is more appropriate since it's more formal.
