Hi,

"M" is not included in "a, e, i, o, and u".

Why people always write:
I have an MSc in Economics
Not:
I have a MSc in Economics
?

Thanks

It depends on whether the sound of the word or abbreviation begins with a vowel sound, not on the spelling itself. When we say M the sound is "em". The initial sound of M is a vowel ("e" in "em").
