A royal family member of Amber, the protagonist is talking to the best friend of his father at dinner party.

"Uh-huh. And who's the husky blond lady batting her eyes at Gerard?"
"I don't know," I said. "And I don't know that lady and the guy over to the right of Orkuz either."

I'd like to know what "bat your eyes at someone" means.
Thank you in advance for your help.

From the WR dictionary - bat - to wink or flutter: batted her eyelashes.

It refers to repeated blinking, so that the eyelashes flutter. It's a way of saying that a woman is signaling to a man that she finds him attractive, by behaving coyly.

She may not have actually batted her eyelashes, but the action is supposed to express the idea, "I'm just a poor little woman and I need some help/attention from you, who are such a fine strong man".
