Dear teachers,

Let's say that I am comparing Mr.Black and Mr.Williams to see who is wealthier as a businessman.

I know that I can safely say, "Mr. Black is as rich as Mr.Williams.

But if I say, "Mr.Black is as rich a businessman as Mr.Williams", is it grammatically fine, especially the preposition "a"?

Thanks a lot, teachers.

It should be fine, Mary. But wait for a response from a native speaker, so it will convince you.
