Applicant/Legal Representative Signature

I am translating a document for a friend and I have a question about the best way to translate the phrase de +el and de +la.
Should I recognize both genders or stick with the generic "del"

The English is "Applicant/Legal Representative Signature"

My translation is
"Firma del/de la solicitante o de su representante legal"

What is the best way to translate the implied "of" in the English phrase?

Thoughts?

Firma del solicitante (no importa sea hombre o mujer).Ultimamente en el lenguaje politicamente correcto se ha puesto en boga decir "los ciudadanis y las ciudadanas" en lugar de los ciudadanos, lis oeluqueros y lad peluqueras etc, pero resulta cansino, e innecesario
