applied versus theoretical

Let's say an educational institution provides two types of fire training. One includes giving theoretical information and the other includes an application. So, I think for the first training type we can say theoretical fire training, but for the second one, can we say 'applied fire training'? If not, what can we say?

I agree with practical, which implies it might take place at a dedicated training centre.

But it’s not clear what you mean by fire training. I’m assuming not professional firefighting but fire precautions, emergency procedures, etc.
