applies to or applies for religion

    Mankind ususally resists change, it is easier to do things the old way,because we cannot or do not want to make an effort to learn new ways of doing thing, it is a prejudice. This even applies for religion !

    which one could be applied? please!

    "Applies to" religion is better.
