Hello everyone,

I'm reading this page Mysterious disk of blue stars around a black hole and I'm puzzled with the following sentence from it:

These stars are whipping around the black hole in much the same way as planets in our Solar System are revolving around the Sun.

The source of my puzzlement is the fact that every grammar books says that we use Present Simple for things that are natural and examples like The Earth goes round the Sun are rather cliche.

Shouldn't it be These stars are whipping around the black hole in much the same way as planets in our Solar System revolve around the Sun. ?

PS The same might be for are whipping around, but technically we can assume that we don't know how typical it is for them. However, we do know that the planets in our Solar System go round the Sun and they've been doing that like forever.

I appreciate your help.
