Ciao, devo tradurre "area di nuova urbanizzazione", intendendo un'area prima non edificata, che diventa appunto edificabile.
My attempts: new urbanization - new development - new edification area.
Which one, or what instead, is commonly used?
    Thank you!

    Hello Valbe,
I would say "a recently built up area." just off the top of my head.

HI Jelsah, thank you! I am sorry, I was unclear. Actually, I mean an area that was forbidden to edification until now, then laws changed and now we can build on it. So it is not still built up!

    Hi Valbe,
Ok I see now. How about "an area just cleared for building on" ? or an "area for development with recent clearance"

Please provide a full sentence - it is difficult to help you without it.

The context is just: The project will be located in an "area di nuova urbanizzazione". It is a Design Course syllabus.
An area recent cleared for development sounds good to me.

An area recent cleared for development sounds good to me. :cross: - This is not the same as what Jelsah suggested in post #4.
    just cleared /recently cleared
However, you still have not provided the full Italian sentence.

In terms of "clearance" for development, the word that's usually associated with that in English is "zone" or "zoning." An area recently zoned for development/a new urban development zone, etc.
    Still need a complete sentence.
