Namaste teachers!

It's from the movie The Pursuit of Happyness

People sing it in a doss house.

People: Lord, don't move that mountain. Give me strength to climb it. Please don't move that stumbling block. But lead me, Lord, around it.

Could someone please tell the dictionary meaning of "around" in the given context?

Thanks!

There is something in your way, instead of stumbling over it you alter your path to avoid it. That is going around the block.

From our WR Dictionary: around: so as to make a circuit about or partial circuit to the other side of: to go around the lake; to sail around a cape.

    Cross-posted.
