hi everyone !
i'd like to find a correct translation of the word "arranger" that i found in this sentence :
"The losses arising from delinquent loans were not borne by the originators, who had sold the loans to arrangers."
i began to translate this way "les pertes dues aux prêts à risque n'étaient pas supportées par ceux qui les avaient contractés, ils avaient vendus ces prêts à ..."

I would suggest: des courtiers here, in view of the context. It has to do with securitization, that is loans that were sold on the market.

Oups, Nezet ! je ne suis pas une experte en finances ! :D
j'ai mis "intermédiaires" dans le sens effectivement de gens qui "arrangent", qui "bidouillent" ....
    attends d'autres suggestions ! :)

Just a detail I hadn't thought about up to now: courtier refers to a single person, whereas arrangers usually refers to businesses, so I would rather suggest: 'organismes de courtage'.
