In the movie Lion King, here is a conversation between Mufasa (the King), Zazu (King's majordomo) and Scar (King's brother):

Mufasa: Sarabi and I didn't see you at the presentation of Simba.
Scar: That was today? I feel simply awful! Must've slipped my mind.
Zazu: Yes, well, as slippery as your mind is, as the king's brother
you should've been first in line!

Here I find it hard to tell the exact meaning of the "" usage, it doesn't seem to mean "one thing is the same as another".
