as happy as can be

    Hello,

    Je me demande si le sens de "as happy as can be" est bien exprimé quand on le traduit par "heureux comme un poisson dans l'eau". Pour moi, il manque quelque chose...

    Oui, ça veut dire que la personne ne pourrait jamais être plus heureuse qu'elle ne l'est déjà.

    On peut dire également « as happy as one can be », cela signifie exactement la même chose.

    I'm not exactly sure what you're looking for, but I would loosely translate the above as: As happy as a clam. :D
