Hi,

- They want peace as much as we do.

- They want as much peace as we do.

These two sentences have different meanings, am I right? The first one is about comparison, and the second is about quantity.

Thanks.

They are both about comparison and quantity. The first compares quantity of desire, the second compares quantity of peace.

    - They want peace as much as we do. We would each give the world for peace.

    - They want as much peace as we do. We both like peace, but we also like the sound of children's laughter.
