as very noisy as?

Hi guys!
page 87 in my book has this sentence: "it isn't as very noisy as other big cities, but it is quiet and clean."

Using "as VERY noisy as" seem to be wrong. I think as much noisy as big cities. How about your opinion?

    That sentence looks strange to me, FU. You don't need "very" or "much" in the phrase "as noisy as": It isn't as noisy as other big cities, ...

    i think the author want to emphasize the big difference between city and rural area. But i don't know if it's right to use "very" in this sentence.
