If I were to put both expressions in a sentence. Would it be seem right from grammatical and speaking perspective?

1. He has asked my name.
2. He has asked me my name.

Are these both sentences conveying the same meaning?

Either sentence could be correct in the proper context, which you have not provided. The first sentence doesn't say for certain who he asked.
