The dialog takes place at a fair

W: My name's Susan Carter. Are you looking for anthing in particular or are you just interested in computers in general ?

M: Well, actually, I have some specific jobs in mind. I run a small company.....We're grown quite dramatically over the past 12 months and we really need some technological help to enable us to keep on top of everything.

W:What's your line of business, Mr Johnson?
M: We are a training consultancy.
W: I see. And what you need to "keep on top"?
M: The first thing is correspondence. We have a lot of standard letters and forms. So I suppose we need some kind of word processor.

What does jobs mean here?:confused:
Question 2: "Keep on top of everything". to handle everything?

    The man is looking for items to aid technologically in handling projects his company has taken on. (There is no reason to suppose that he's seeking a new word processor; there's nothing in the context suggesting exactly what he needs.)
