at her best in the morning

Hi. I want to say "she's at her best in the morning", in the sense of she feels better, works better, plays better etc., than she would in the evening. My attempt is "elle est au mieux le matin." What do you think?

    It would be a little confusing in my opinion. It maybe would be better to specify :
    "Elle est au mieux de sa forme (de ses capacités) le matin".
