Je n'arrive pas à traduire "l'attachement patrimonial que ses lecteurs lui portent"
(il s'agit d'un personnage de bande dessinée célèbre)

Peut-on utiliser quelque chose comme "patrimonial attachment" ?

    Assuming that l'attachement patrimonial as unusual in French as "patrimonial attachment" is in English, I'd say it's okay.

    I'm not particularly sure what is meant in either case.

    Might it have something to do with the response his comics illicit in his readers, as in a 'fatherly attachment' - fatherly might be more suitable/ less awkward in English.
