Can anyone explain what does it mean "avoid the rush" on the title of the book Collapse Now and Avoid the Rush by John Michael Greer? Thank you!

"Buy now, and avoid the rush" is a famous advertising saying. It suggests that you buy the new item early, because it will will be so popular that later there will be a "huge rush of shoppers" (a large crowd of shoppers) in the store, all trying to buy it.

So "avoid the rush" means "do it now, before everyone else does".

On the book title, it is simply a joke.
