Some days ago I asked how do you say in PtE "babysitter" and the only answer I received was: "pessoa que toma conta de crianças". Is that the only way you have to call a babysitter? Similar problem with "caretakers" (AE), (badante in italiano) that I define as one that is hired for caring for somebody if they are either terminally ill and not so much on the housework aspect.
