Hello,

I would like to know the difference, if any, between baked octopus and roast octopus.

Thank you

I suppose those could be used to describe the same dish, but neither is something I commonly see on menus. If you want us to come up with a word, it would help if you could describe the cooking method you're thinking of in detail. If you've seen these two terms somewhere, please tell us where.

Baking and roasting are essentially the same thing. If I were to differentiate, I could roast something over an open fire, but I bake things in an oven or some other closed space and not in direct physical contact with the heat source.

It is the name of a dish. I have not seen it, I just wanted to know how to call it. Usually we put the octopus on a tray and we leave it in the oven until it is cooked. What would you use then?

    Thanks in advance!
