I've seen this expression recently.

Is the expression "be in blind ignorance of" cmmonly used among native speakers??

In other words, it would be awkward if I'd say "I was in blind ignorance of that" instead of "I didn't know that at all" in casual conversation??

I wouldn't say it's that common - but it's believable as an idiom. I wouldn't recommend it as it sounds rather tautological to me.
