Hi, I've read in a macrobiotic cookbook the following in between quotes; a previous sentence says: "Slim traditional peoples celebrate each new season..." But I don't understand: "In most traditional societies, folks were seldom overnight." I understand the words but not the sentence. Any help?

I would assume that "overnight" is a mistake; it should be "overweight".

(My guess as to how it happened: the author typed overwight by accident and spell-check automatically 'corrected' it to overnight.)

It looks like a typo to me. Given the context, I's think it should be "overweight". With "overnight" the sentence makes no sense to me.
