Recently, I came across the phase of "be tied to". Here are two examples.

1. Try to call Tom if you can't find Mary. They are always tied to one another.
2. Your husband's happiness is tied to you.

For example 1, "be tied to" means Tom and Mary always stay together.
For example 2, "be tied to" means husband's happiness is connected to his wife's.

Do they sound natural to you?
